How to install the NameLess ROM on the Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

If you follow my blog or YouTube channel, you would be aware of the custom ROM installation tutorials/videos I make for the Samsung Galaxy SL i9003. The Nameless ROM is one of the latest firmwares that was unofficially released by developers at XDA for this device.

Officially Samsung did not release an update after Gingerbread 2.3.6 for this device, unofficially though we've successfully been able to install Ice Cream Sandwich and KitKat as well. This is an easy to follow tutorial on how to install the Nameless ROM on a device that Samsung deserted midway. the Samsung Galaxy SL i9003.

Difficulty level:
  • Easy
  • Medium
  • Difficult
Things to do before we start:

  • Your i9003 must be rooted. Here's how to root your device.
  • Take a full backup of your phone on your computer. (Pictures/Videos/Contacts/Music etc)
  • Battery charged fully.

Step 1: For the Nameless ROM to correctly install on the i9003, I suggest having CyanogenMod 11 ROM (KitKat) as base. Here's how to install the CM11 - Kitkat ROM.

Step 2: Download the required ROM file and Google Apps files.
--> Nameless ROM : Download Link
--> Google Apps for Nameless ROMDownload Link (Suggested Gaaps file - Nano Modular)
