Top 5 reasons to buy Moto G

The Moto G was recently launched in India exclusively on Flipkart. There are two variants for the same, the 8GB and the 16GB. Immediately, upon launching the device they were sold out within the first 18 minutes. Fortunately, I was able to buy the 8GB version and Unboxed it on my YouTube channel. Here are my Top 5 Reasons to buy the beautiful Motorola Moto G.

5. The Price to Performance Ratio

The Price to Performance ratio is incredibly inclined towards the performance side. If specifications like these were to be launched by brands like Samsung or Apple, they would price their phones atleast in the Rs. 20,000 - Rs. 30,000 bracket. Look at the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 as an example!

4. Screen

The Corning Gorilla glass 3 upfront on the 4.5" IPS LCD screen is something that is not expected on a device that is priced as low as Rs.12500. The resolution that this screen gives is a 720p HD quality and is best suited for an improved battery performance.

3. Splash resistant

Motorola doesn't market this phone to be water resistant, instead they claim it to be splash resistant. It gives protection from rain drops, or a splash of water from a dropped glass. Pretty useful in my opinion!

2. Gaming

This device is absolutely brilliant for gaming. The 1.2 GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor along with an Adreno 305 works perfectly for most medium to high end games out there in the Play Store. Games like Dead Trigger 2, Asphalt 8 and MC series work flawlessly on this device.

1. OTG Compatibility

Since this device comes in capacities of either 8GB or 16GB and there being no external memory card support, it becomes imperative that it supports the OTG cable. This, according to me is also the top reason to buy the Moto G as it supports FULL OTG compatibility.

Not only can you connect your Moto G to an external Pen Drive (to play a movie or songs) you can also connect it to an external Keyboard/Mouse. If you have a Playstation Gaming Controller lying around (USB), connect it to the phone using the OTG cable and enjoy playing your favorite games with better control.

I also have a Logitech USB joystick lying around somewhere around the house that I used to play Flight Simulator with, and will try and connect it to the Moto G to see if it works with it and will update this article as soon as I come to know.

I believe most of the Micromax Canvas, Karbonn and some of the Sony Xperia users will switch to this device very soon after looking at its performance. If you're looking to buy one for yourself or someone you know, please consider buying it from here...
